Avenda's eTIPS platform forms the heart of an identity-aware solution used to control, secure, and manage how users and devices connect to your network. As an essential component in any network security and compliance initiative, the eTIPS 5000 series seamlessly integrates within any existing network infrastructure and identity stores to provide role-based policies that conform to the way users access your wireless, wired and VPN networks.

Unique eTIPS features provide the ability to gather and combine three categories of information to formulate a rich set of full or conditional access policies:

Identity Aggregation

  • Provides the ability to access, read and combine attributes (role, department, group, etc.) from multiple identity stores (Active Directory, LDAP, SQL, and Token Server)

Endpoint Health Checks

  • To reduce the risk of infection or breach, a user's PC can be assessed to determine if it complies with defined anti-virus, anti-spyware, and firewall requirements using an agentless or persistent agents

Endpoint Physical Attributes

  • As an added layer of protection, eTIPS gathers device specific attributes to control and manage non-PC endpoints, such as handhelds, printers and security devices. Collected elements can include device type, operating system, and other identifiers

Easy-to-Use Management Interface

An intuitive browser based management utility combines administrative, monitoring and reporting functionality within a centralized user interface. Service templates make getting started easy for 802.1X, MAC or Web authentication of guests, contractors, partners and employees.

In addition to an easy-to-use management interface, eTIPS includes a guest access application, RADIUS and TACACS+ servers, extensive trouble-shooting tools and an exclusive "Policy Simulation" feature that can be used to verify and test a new access security service before it is deployed in the network.

Health agents support Windows, Linux and Mac environments. Quick1X, an optional endpoint configuration wizard, makes small or large-scale 802.1X deployments manageable.
